AUR21920 Certificate II in Automotive Tyre Servicing Technology

Our Certificate II in Automotive Tyre Servicing Technology training is broken down into two courses.
1. Full Certificate II in light (car), heavy (road truck, prime movers, trailers and buses) and agricultural.
2. Full Certificate II in light (car), heavy (road truck, prime movers, trailers and buses), agricultural and OTR (Off the Road – earthmoving equipment with tyres over 24 inches).
Total number of units= 14 (4 core units, plus 10 electives)

Light-Heavy-Agricultural Tyre Course
This tyre fitting course is at a minimum of 2 days.
Day 1 – Power points, Theory, Theory Assessment (12 hrs)
Day 2 – JHA/JSA, practical training on Tyre changing/wheel balancing machines, strip, insect and reassemble light, heavy and agricultural and final assessment.
Note: Additional day/s will be added to the two days if the candidate is lacking the experience and confidence to gain competency.

Light-Heavy-Agricultural and OTR Tyre Course
This tyre fitting course is at a minimum of 3 days.
Day 1 – Power point, Theory, Theory Assessment (12 hrs)
Day 2 – JHA/JSA , Pre-start of machinery, Practical Training on tyre changing/wheel balancing machines, strip, inspect, reassemble light, heavy and OTR (off the road) tyres. (12 hrs)
Day 3 – Final Assessment after gaining a minimum of 100 hours of OTR experience onsite experience of changing OTR tyres and being supervised either by a qualified tyre fitter or their immediate supervisor (12 hours).
Note: For the OTR Certificate II the candidate after two days of training will be given a Record Log Book to complete their minimum 100 hours experience.
After the Log Book is complete the candidate comes back for Day 3 the Final Assessment.

Our Trainers are fully qualified Certificate II Trainer/Assessor in the tyre industry with over 35 years experience in the field fitting tyres.

Pre-requisites for OTR – Company induction, Certification/licence in either IT Loader, Telehandler or Forklift. (Tyre Handler or Crab Truck experience would be a bonus)

After Final Assessment is complete and the candidate is deemed competent and invoice is paid in full a certificate will be issued.
